Welcome to the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences at Youngstown State University.

We are a growing department with a wide variety of research, scholarship and outreach activities.  Much of our research activities are interdisciplinary with departments such as Biology, Chemistry, Civil/Environmental Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.  We offer undergraduate degrees in Geology and Environmental Studies, as well as the MS degree in Environmental Studies.
