The Office of STEM Professional Practice Program provides information, assistance, friendly support and resources necessary for students to effectively utilize Professional Practice Services and develop career management skills that last a lifetime. Whether the student needs a resume consultation, help with cooperative education/internship search questions, or assistance with preparing for on-campus interview and recruiting events, the Program is here to help all current STEM students!
The Cooperative Education/Internship/Professional Practice courses integrate classroom academic work with practical work experience. Students alternate periods of attendance at college with periods of employment in industry, business or government. The Courses require each student's employment to be directly related to his or her academic program. The program also requires that all work experiences increase in difficulty and responsibility as students’ progress through their college curriculum. Note: Students interested in Spring Summer and Fall 2013 Co-ops and Internships must schedule an appointment with the STEM Professional Practice Office or attend an orientation session (Spring dates TBA).
