When can I register?
New/Incoming Freshmen: You will register on the day you come to YSU for orientation (EARLY or SOAR). If you cannot attend EARLY or SOAR you may not meet with an advisor or register for courses until after all orientations are complete for that term.
Current Students (you are currently taking classes at YSU or have taken classes within the last year): You will register on or after your registration appointment time. You can find your appointment time via the MyYSU Portal under the Registration section on the left side of your screen under "Important Dates". Students register according to the number hours they have completed (first seniors, juniors, etc.).
Returning Students (you have taken courses at YSU in the past, and not attended any other institutions since you left YSU): follow procedures of Current Students above. Please be sure to reactivate your status in the Records Office, Jones Hall.
Incoming Transfer Students (this will be your first time taking classes at YSU and have taken courses at another college or University): You must meet with an advisor from the Division of Academic Advising prior to registration.

How do I register?
You can register from anywhere as long as you have access to the internet. If you need assistance registering for courses you can register in the Registration area on the 2nd floor of Meshel Hall or access the "Registration Directions" in the MyYSU Portal under the Registration section under e-services for students (left side of your screen).
