STEPS FOR GRADUATING WITH AN ICP DEGREE

For Standard ICP Programs. 

1. Contact the ICP Coordinator in the college awarding the degree.

2. Once you have met with the appropriate coordinator, have determined that you meet the qualifications for the program and have decided to pursue the chosen ICP, the college coordinator will direct you on completing the necessary forms and securing the appropriate signatures.

For Unique ICP Programs

1. Email the University ICP Director, Jane Kestner atjekestner AT ysu DOT edu to begin a discussion of the feasibility of designing an ICP to meet yourr educational goals.  Through this exchange your options will explored and the steps in the ICP process outlined.
2. With the approval of the University ICP Director, you will be put in contact with the ICP Coordinator in the college that would likely grant the degree you would like to pursue.
3. The College Coordinator will work with you to determine if there are sufficent appropriate classes to meet your goals with an ICP.
4. The College Coordinator will then suggest approriate faculty for your committee.
5. You should then contact the potential member of your faculty committee to detemine their willingness to serve on your committee and get their advice concerning appropriate courses to include in your curriculum.
6. Complete the ICP Proposals Form with appropriate signatures from your committee members and return it to the College ICP Coordinator.
7. The College Coordinator will make sure that your plan meets all of the general education, university and college requirements for the degree you plan to pursue.
8. If the plan is without problems, the College Coordinator will forward your plan to the dean of the college for his or her approval.  If there are problems, the plan will be returned to the student for revision.
